Hey,
I think I find myself CCing/overlimping to often when I am IP (not defending BB). I am not sure when (holding, position and playertypes) it is a good idea. Or maybe I should almost completly forget about it and either ISO or 3bet or fold. I think I know the theory behind the situations... I guess my question is how often should I in average % CC overall?

I think that at the micro-stakes play better either raise or fold. If you can limp to lose a lot of money

Probably no ideal % and very player dependent. I hate cold calling though.

It shouldn't be about stats at the micros. People adjust poorly as well so even if your lopsided they will still find another way to hand you the money.

i find at the micros, it doesn't matter what you do, many players play anything. you can raise with AA and get called by 7 4 off and get out drawn. i usually just CC and play agressive when i got it

depends on who we playing... i like coldcalling if it means a weak player stays in the hand. if we raise and weak folds and we stuck with a solid reg then thats terrible

also depends on our hands as well if we raise we remove our playability

Depends on the other player(s).

Check calling against 2 regs isnt going to be profitable long term. Because they will not be paying us off very much.

However, check calling smallish bets against weaker players is ok in position. IMO we want to be doing this with small/mid pairs and Axs. I dont like raising these kind of hands as a rule because there really isnt much point bloating pots with marginal holdings, against players who dont know what the fold button does, when we will be playing fit of fold post flop.

If you find yourself calling too much or limping, follow this.

Raise or fold, and only call on the button

Didnt finish my thought!

If you do this, it'll remove the garbage you play and all the marginal hands you shouldnt be playing. It raises your variance and makes post flop play a little easier. Dont over think this and just find ranges that work.

If you get to caught up in percentages you can really mess up the way you are winning in the first place. As a example when I first started playing poker I won two big tournies back to back by knowing nothing about when I should be folding. Then I found 2p2 and learned how to play, problem being everyone tends to copy the same format,so I lost what made me different and it took a long time to figure out what I had eliminated from my game to win again.
The one issue I have with forum banter on how to play is people stick to the line that is most often popular in poker books because it is a way to show they know how to play poker. The more unusual responses are where you learn about a certain mindset as opposed to the standard lines.
So that said the person that has the best idea of what to do is you! You are the one that has sat and watched 25-50 hands of the players at the table and picked up subtle enough stuff that people gloss over or do not realize they add into the dynamics. A percentage is silly and you really should just stick to what you find profitable,if it is not profitable subtract it from your game for a bit and see if that helps. Add it back depending.

It's more like you learnt something but added to your game incorrectly
