I'm interested in knowing people's 3-bet ranges in late position. Personally i play tight, probably too tight, and only 3-bet with AA - JJ plus AK. Bearing in mind I’m still sacrificing myself at 2NL where most people think folding is something you do in origami so 3-betting light (i believe) to be too high level a concept.

Full Ring or Short Handed?

My rough ranges (also at NL2) are to 3-Bet JJ+, AK at Full Ring and TT+, AQ+ at Short Handed. Not just from the CO and BTN but from most positions and against most positions. The players here will call a 3-Bet with so much worse and therefore it is good to take the initiative.

However, if you are 4-Bet/Shoved on it is wise to fold most of this range because it is often AA/KK.

Thanks Smiley - I'm talking full ring here.

No problem, my basic range is 3-Bet JJ+, AK and fold to 4bet unless KK+.

I think its probably a bit tight.

What does anyone else do?

Your 3-bet range should change based on the villain who did the initial raise. Any range that does not include villain's stats (at least "unknown" or something) is pointless.

Against an unknown 100bb's deep, I'd prolly 3-bet JJ+, AK, AQs for value to start with.
