So ive made a few posts already, but heres another one lol

I have two places available to play 1/2 nlhe.

1 place is nearby me (the only place I have been to so far) and its only a card room. It seems to be a place for regs and only card games. This place is really well kept and is only 5 mins from me.

The second place, is a really well known and advertised casino about 30 mins from me.

My question is, would it be better to play at the casino thats advertised due to it drawing more attention for potential new players? Or does it not matter?

I have been going to the card room because its closer and seems like a nice place. But is there more value in going to the casino? Thanks!

When you wrote about the card room, my first thought was that the permanent members are waiting for new players! I'm afraid there will be conspiracy against the newcomer!

For me it would depend on the rake structure at each place and how much time I have for my session. Typically the casino will have a higher rake but if it has a good flow of casual players then you can make up for the rake with a higher hourly win rate. If the card room has a number of 'gamblers' and/or whales playing and has a better rake then having almost an hour more time per session vs casino it make the card room a logical choice. And if you have a large 'social time' component to your sessions then whichever place gives you the best vibes may override some marginal differences between them.

Normally the casino will be easier, since some players there will be quiet new to the game.

If I were you, I would not go to live at all. But if you have extra money then play in the casino. There really come a lot of inexperienced players.

If you haven't gone to the casino yet, go and try it out. Go to the place that has more people playing, and has a buy-in structure that suits you.
