Ok, thanks for the tips.
When i started playing Zoom (a week ago) I was getting absolutely caned and have had to adapt my game (part of the learning process).
In order to control things, I am using this method:
1) Buy in with $4
2) As soon as I reach $5, back out of the game, bank $1 (or more) and rejoin.
The reason for this is I still will end up in all in hands where my AA gets cracked by hands like J8s making trips - the nature of Zoom is there are a lot more traps, loose play and aggression right to the river.
This strategy minimises my losses (I lose 4 instead of 5..)
My stats since studying and adapting my strategy are better.
I was over 40 GBP down, now I am only 23 down, though I was on 15 down at one point.
If I buy in for 5 and and up making say 3 more, if I get into an all in and lose then I lose 8. By banking and rebuying I am only really risking 4, as I will bank the other 4.
One thing is that if I am down to say 2, I notice a lot of aggression against a small stack trying to get an all in, and I can usually double up quite easily.
On cash tables I keep it in and rebuy automatically.
Zoom is definitely a whole new poker game
