Hi guys.

I find myself continually changing seats while playing online, does anyone else do this?

When I find someone dumping chips I'll move as close to their left as I can, same if someone gets a large stack.

My question is; is there an easier way to do it? I have to stand up and then hope no body takes the seat before I can sit down in it, this means I can't move if there is a waiting list. At live casinos I know that players on the table can choose to move seats before a new player comes to the table even if they were on the waiting list, I believe this should be an option online. I have looked through the options on Full Tilt and couldn't find anything relating to this.

And also, is this bad etiquette? I feel that if the fish new what I was doing they would be insulted, no one has ever said anything to me at the tables tho so I assume they are oblivious.

Thoughts? Or if someone can direct me to a previous thread on this topic? (I couldn't find one)

Hey bud, yes I do move seats when there is a player that is clearly just an ATM.

I am surprised how few players do the same.

I find that the safest way to move seats is to wait until in the current hand the likely last player to act is making their decision on the river. You should already have your mouse in the "stand up" (or equivalent) icon. Quickly stand and sit down next to your mark. Its just bad luck if somebody sits there in between you standing up and sitting down. If this is the case just sit back down in your previous seat.

Is this bad etiquette? no of course not, its good poker sense.

And if you are worried you might offend the ATM, dont be.......

If they are so bad you want to sit after them, I am pretty confident they will have no clue why you have done so, or even knows what position is.

Happy hunting.
