Hi!

Where I live we cannot play poker online for a few months due to new regulations (portugal).
So I want to start playing 1/2 No-Limit Hold'em live at my local Casino. I only played NL2 online (and I played just a couple of days), never played live at these stakes (NL200).

It's a good idea to read any of these books? If yes which one(s)?
Or you guys have other advice for me?

Thanks

Read as many as you can and watch high stakes cash games and watch how they play hands in cash one thing I learned is buy in deep so you don't get bullied and play the player always and patience patience patience

Any book recommendation? Up-to-date and for live Low-stakes NL?

I would recommend professional poker volume 1 by Ed miller and How to dominate $1/$2 No Limit hold'em by Sam O Conner it's written in 2007 but the book is solid and Sam was around when holdem first became popular, we was a dealer at firsthand then made the transition to a Professional

I recommend you play on the weekend first. During the week its mostly regs who have a lot of experience (even if they still aren't very good). If it is a large casino or resort type place the weekend will have a mix of business men and tourists looking to play for fun a long with the regs.

Biggest thing that tripped me up when not hiding behind a screen was being nervous when handling the chips, but you get used to it after playing for a couple hours.

Once I started playing live I pretty much stopped playing online, I like being able to observe my opponents. The atmosphere at a table live is way more fun than grinding at home.

Good Luck
