Hello,

What is the main difference betwen play cash games with or without ante ? Should you play the same way or play more tight/loose ?
With ante you should tend to defend your blinds with more frequency ?

I would think you would want to play looser when there are antes. The reason being you are losing money every hand regardless of whether you fold preflop or not. If you play too tight, you'll never be in enough hands to give yourself a chance to win back what you are losing in antes.

I was reading some articles, and the biggest difference playing with ante (usually deep stacks) is that you shall not play very agressive on draws, because with 100 bb you will lose some money if you dont hit it but with 400 bb the waste will be bigger.

More profitable to steal blinds. Less profitable to wait for big hands. Apart from bearing that in mind, I don't see how post flop play would change

Every hand there is a bank in addition to blinds. And some piece of your stack is bitten off. So you haven't another choice as to play loose and fight for many tables. Otherwise your stack melts fast enough while you wait monsters.

I would be throwing in more raises with antes. There is a lot more to gain obviously.

Playing with an ante suits more aggressive players.

Playing with an ante suits more aggressive players. If you are a tight player then the game with ante is not for you.
I'm a tight player and the game with ante does not suit me at all. Minus ante is that it is removed from you every hand. To wait for a good card, you need time, and during this time the ante and the blind will destroy your entire stack. I think that you need to protect the blinds as well as in normal poker, regardless of ante. In tournaments with certain blinds ante is mandatory, and in the cache it's me hinders to play. Everyone chooses the kind of poker that is right for him.
