Hey Guys (of course includes women),
I am attempting to concentrate more on cash games. I have always played some cash, especially "live", I am lucky enough to have 2 casinos within an hour drive. Online I have mostly played SitnGo's and MTT's.

My question, based off of a pretty small sample size, maybe 15000 hands. My winrate is 4.7BB/100, my aggression factor is only 1.8 and AGG% is 36.8. My thinking is that in the micros and low stakes that it is easy enough to let the Villians "hang" themselves?? I believe that there is room to improve for sure in my game, so I am wondering if anyone would share their thoughts and ideas on areas that I could be more aggressive to attempt to push the winrate up??

Thanks in advance!!

Well the only way to know how you can improve is if we were to know how you already play, what are your weak sides that you can improve on.
I guess some basic advises would be to try C-betting more, also tend to re-raise more preflop, rather then just call, especially if you want to defend your BB or Straddle.
Try playing your good and bad hands in a similar way, mostly lines you take when you are trying to bluff and trap someone with a monster or nuts.
I know these seem like some ordinary, known things but based on low info, not much more I could think of...

It also depends a lot on the limit you play, because in the low limits luck is partner you many.

This is valid strategy but only against few selected players. Especially in micros regular tables opposite is mostly true, ie bet for value hard, raise your good hands, etc…

“ideas on areas that I could be more aggressive”
a) widen your opening range on late position
b) if you feel you can take the pot down by bluffing because no-one has anything -> do it, don’t just think about it
c) realise that if you don’t have a hand on the river, you probably won’t win the hand, so bluffing is cheaper than it seems at first glance. If you bet a bit over half pot you need to win it only 35% to make profit, try find places like this, they are there sometimes, one of these spots in 100 hands can double your normal winrate, so one in 300 hands should be very doable even for a nit =)
d) Make thin value bets a lot, if you think that your hand has a chance to be best, don’t be shy, especially on the river where you already should know where you stand and pot size is well controlled.
e) Against total fish for value just bet-bet-bet until he says otherwise.

4.7bb winrate is very good, be proud!! Remember that at least 6bb is lost for rake, so you are actually dominating your level with massive ~10bb absolute win rate.

You play scared. What's wrong? - Why you limp and call so much?

4.7BB/100 is way way too small. That is 2.3BB/hour. Way too small. You need to be up to about 10-15 big blinds per hour not per 100 hands that's in 3 hours of live play.

This is why: Your aggression factor should be way up to about 5 and the AGG% about 100% if no one has raised before you and about 75% if you call some one else raise. Very few calling raises but some are OK if the stacks are deep.

What I'm talking about big-blinds per hour like 10-15bb should be after the rake not before. If you cannot manage this you don't have a shot in this game unless you get lucky or play against fish, morons and droolers.

Dude 10-15 BB/hour is $20-$30 an hour at 1/2. He would be murdering 1/2 to get those numbers. It could be attainable short term, but 600 hours + I think that's pretty tough to do.

Imma have a look at the the link in your post now, and see what you are all about.

If the guy can beat live 1/2 for $5/hour he is like 95th percentile. Everyone sucks at 1/2 and hardly anyone is besting the game, let alone for $20/hour +.

You telling me that the results of 5500 hands are luck?

The 5500 hands are for one month play full time. Actually 8 hours per day for 24 days per month. If you don't manage to crush the 1/2 game live for at least $50-$75 per hour you are not ready to put your money down in a cash games. If you cannot do that, dude you don't have what it takes to understand how the NL poker can be beat. Actually that stats are my results for the last month of an average of $800/day and over $20,000 in a month. I do that constantly here in Vegas in the smallest games of 1/2 NL $300 stacks.

No matter how much you may want to think of Hold’em as a card game, in many respects it is even more valid to think of it as a game about people that happens to be played with some cards in order to get at the peoples core and crush their hopes. It's a con game, a setup that has nothing to do with what starting cards you have. I will crush your dreams.

Online agression wise you want to be in the AF range 2.8-3.5. This keeps your opponents guessing as to whether you have a hand or not. Any higher you will get called down light a lot. Any lower and you are going to get a lot of folds when you are raising for value because regs understand from your AF that you probably have a hand.
Achieving this in practise is easier said than done though and Braveslice gives some useful tips. Id add you probably need to throw in a few more bluff on the flop against late position stealers.
