Hello ladies and gentlemen, I decided to look at pokerstars how they play at high-stakes cash tables. The game has a situation that is not clear to me. Two players go All-in for $ 5,000, as usual 5 cards to the table, one wins, followed by the following 5 cards, the other wins, both remain at their stacks. I don’t understand why the two distributions? Is this some kind of insurance or an agreement of the players? I play on micro limits and haven’t met with such. And if one player wins two distributions he gets more? Explain. Respectfully Sergei.

Pokerstars offer "run it twice". You can choose "always", "never" or "ask me" in the settings. The default setting is "never", so if you want to use it, you have to change your settings. It work at all stakes, but less people use it, after all-in cash-out became an alternative option. Maybe this is why, you have not seen it before. The purpose is to reduce variance.
