If you frequent a table with many open calls, be sure to choose high scale opening ranges like AK; AQs; J-J + And play them very aggressive preflop. You will see how they stop calling you like for art of magic XD
Greetings.

Against 5 players with wide ranges (I chose top 60% of starting hands). You have about 20% equity pre flop with AJ. If you flop a pair you are doing much better. To improve your success rate you should work on trying to narrow the field pre flop. Make a large raise with AJ so less than 5 players call. For live poker you should probably start around 5x and add 1 big blind for each limper. Also if others are raising wide then you can re-raise a hand like AJs in position and get even more people to fold. The game is much more manageable when there are only one or two callers. These tables are very common in low stakes live games. The most basic counter strategy is to play tighter and be more aggressive to thin the field. If they all fold, dont worry, keep doing it and eventually they will get frustrated and call or raise into your strong range. If they all call then increase your bet sizing until you get only one or two callers. If you're 100 BB deep and a 15x raise isn't thinning the field then I would revert back to 10x or so and just play more careful post flop.

this playlist will help you out greatly http://gripsed.com/win

It will teach you what your odds are but also help you look beyond them to the concepts that will really make a major difference in your game.

I hope you will enjoy it, find more success on the tables as a result of it, and that when you do you let me know with a reply of how far your game evolved since this first post :)

Depends on many factors. What have the other players been doing with strong/weak hands? For example, some might only play with a strong hand while others play almost every hand. Just gotta get used to looking at this info. I say you stay with ace jack and watch the flop if you don't get anything and someone bets big most likely you should fold.

So I have to watch my opponents. I may be a bit of an active player, so I won't win.:(
