Do you call raises with suited connectors in 6max cash games?

Calling with connectors

I call with suited connectors for sure. It is a good bust'em type hand. In this situation, the smaller the raise and the later your position the better obviously. If the raise is somewhat larger then you like, you probably could still call profitably against someone who tends to spew his chips.

Raising with SCs is always better than calling with SCs.

Not necessarily. Pre flop we should be either taking down the pot before the flop or setting ourselves up for profitable situations post flop. When we call pre we should know that we can either take the pot down post flop or that we will get paid off when we hit our hand. As long as one of these is true, calling can be more profitable than raising in some situations.

I usually never do...my reasoning is suited connectors like lots of hands in the pot to give you the best odds when raised. I save my raises to scare people off when I have anything else w

Have I been playing these wrong all along? I know there's a risk of a higher flush when more people are in play and I know to back off if I have low suited connectors and 4 of a suit are on the board.

I agree that I prefer raising them in position than calling. They miss so much it is good to give yourself the chance to cbet and take it down when you miss. Also if you hit a small pair it is more comfortable to cbet semibluff than calling his cbet. The time I would call is if there are a few callers before me or if the villain cbets then gives up on the turn a lot.

I tend to limp with them if there are several limpers ahead of me. I am willing to call to see the flop if I am getting around 4:1, which happens a lot at 4NL.

I've also raised with them if there's no action before me. Sometimes though they look better than they really are. I don't play them very well myself. One hand where I spewed away my stack today was:

I raised with 910 of clubs. I had one caller, BB.

Flop is 267 with two clubs. BB leads out with a weak bet. I raise him, he min. raises me. At this point, I should have just called as the 3 bet pretty much means he might have a set and is not folding. Instead I think I have a load of outs and shoved. He flips over AA (an overpair is something I didn't put him on) and I couldn't catch my 12 outs or a possible runner runner 9 10. Gave the coins away.

Sounds ok to me... With the money in the pot you were probably getting quite good odds.
