One of the leaks on leakbuster said I played overall to tight in the bb. I'm just curious on your guys views on calling a min raise, I guess it isn't to prevalent in the lower stakes, but as you move up past 50nl it becomes more common (not saying everyone does it, but you see it alot more here.) Even if I have a decent hand I commit the 1 bb, do you guys see this as a leak as we are out of position, but we are also getting very good odds to see a flop. I'm not going broke with top pair by any means.

In 5NL I 3bet them 3x a majority of the time and they fold like 95% of the time... try that for starters?

Irrelevant, since 3bet is automatically profitable. My 3bet range is basically any hand with equity.

Post flop they play classic "fit or fold" so if they call the cbet and I have air I shut down and that is that.

Thing is, the reason for minraising in 5NL is that people have read somewhere that it takes a low % of folds to be instantly profitable and they do it with any random garbage that can be folded cheaply to a 3bet.

It is super easy to notice there muppets since they minraise pretty much every time they get folded to in the BTN and in all other positions they raise rarely and for normal amounts. Basically loose passive players that are trying hard to grow a brain and fail.

On higher levels things are presumably different only in that they can recognize wide 3betting for what it is.

Every hand has equity . . .

FWIW I pretty much min raise the BTN and I can guarantee you that if you automatically peg me as loose passive you have no chance of making a good decision vs me.

JC look at their steal%/RFI BTN along with fold to 3Bet and adjust your calling and 3Betting ranges accordingly.

3 betting is definitely the more profitable play in the bb, you always want to be the aggressor, rather than having to play out of position post flop for the rest of the hand

I'll call min-raises from the Bb with a lot of hands that would normally be a fold. Hands with potential or garbage that I am just feeling lucky with. If I think I can outplay my opponent(s) post flop it is a no-brainer, but my logic for calling the min-raise is same as the reason I do not min raise...the price I get to see the flop for is good.

One thing I see people do sometimes that is irritating is min bet the flop, the turn and the river. I get confused on what to do sometimes. I seen people bet nut hands like this and then sometimes they bet drawing hands and anything else.

At 25nl i see some min betting. This is usually a draw and i raise it to 3/4 if i hit anything on the board

Woah, correct adjustment to a min raise = 3betting a ton? NO!

Right, we should just fold like mad or call OOP and get raped postflop :D

3betting works for me, if it stops working on a higher level then I might reconsider.
