I'll give you some suggestion.

If having 250 big blinds (BB) will put you out of your comfort zone, leave the table. If you are feeling good, playing good, and can play 250 BBs comfortably, then keep playing.

If you are on a strict bankroll management, then maybe sitting out your next big blind is the proper play, but if you are on a dream table where everyone at the table is playing poorly, then keep playing. Cash game is about making the most EV+ plays at every moment. If you start to reach EV- decisions it is time to either take a break or find a different table.

It is the same scenario if you are down -250 BBs. If you are facing a tough table and down 250 BBs, you should probably move on.

Winning is more of a reason to keep playing than it is to leave the table.

I'm assuming this is 100NL at $100 buy in.
Good bankroll management is how many buy ins you have for the limit you play.
To play 100NL you should have at least 20 buy ins or maybe 50 buy ins to be safe.
Do you play poker for a living or just a hobby?
If you play for a living I would say you need at least 50 buy ins for whatever limit you play at.
If you play for a hobby then just play with 20 buy ins.
So for 100NL you need at least $2000.
If you have $1000 move down to 50NL and so on.
Always adjust to the limits you play at and keep money for bills separate from money for poker.

any bb+ is good.
if you mean "how much do I need to win to leave" the strategy of 3-4 BI is good. BUT! if you think you can keep playing with more than 4 BI won then there is no reason to leaveing. What I'm trying to say is that it's a question of preference
