Sometimes when I'm in a hand my brain freezes. I left allot of money on the table with this hand. Advice needed on practice slowing down i think...all thoughts welcome
Mgm detroit 1$/2$, 50$to $300 buy in.
Forty minutes in,i have $450 in BB , v1 inexp. Kid has $55, sb (Just sat 15 minutes ago)has $400
Limped six ways. Im in the BB with 7H7S and i check. Good or bad it's what i did.
Anyway, flop comes 7d,Ac,9d. Sb checks,i bet twelve knowing a fd would play for it.
V1 shoves for $55, SB flats. I didn't even take time. My immediate thought was that they are sharing a flush draw. With the Ac out there i figure one of them paired the ace. I shoved thinking sb has fd w the ace and might call. He open folds As.7c and says it was a tough lay down after two minutes of thought.
I think, i shoulda made it 120or so but tbh i didn't realize he had that much money. I thought he bought in for two hundred.he may have doubled up when i went to piss or something (another leak i have, not noticing)and really didn't expect him to fold anything that would flat The $55.
Even if i did the right thing and had a good thought process behind it(Not saying that's the case), i still have an issue of not considering all possible hands that villain could have in spots where i flop huge. I can think fast for the most part but would be a much better player ifi found a way to make the best and biggest bet for given ranges.
I want to learn a way to train my brain to do this well when i am killing the board and be able to get max value from second or third best ect. (Usually, when i think im behind i can assighn ranges ok)Any of you guys have any suggestions? All my games are live btw..thanks in advance

I think checking pre-flop is ok. Pocket 7s are just not enough for a squeeze against 6 players.

Post-flop I'm snap shoving over the top. The only hand that is beating you here is pocket 9s.

One Idea is to post in the hand analysis section of this forum.

Thats a good spot for people to analyze your hand.

I don't think you did anything wrong there. Limping in pre-flop with six callers was probably a solid move. You would have opened yourself up to a re-raise. And then betting strong after a set was a good move. You don't want someone to hit a flush on you. But if they do, you want to damn sure make them pay for it. Hindsight is always 20/20. You got a nice sized pot out of it. Be happy. Not greedy.
