I'm trying now to practice BRM. But I was wondering about ring game buyins. I noticed something on stars.

Your BR is at $200-400. You should be playing no higher than $10 max tables.

Which is better and why? The .02$-.05$ tables or the .05$-.10$ tables?

Mind you, on stars, they both have the same max buy in.

BR management is a tool, not a rule. Experience will tell you how the players are on each table compared to your style and you should select based on that.

I'm in that same range and I play both. I like the 2/5 for playing a bit looser the 5/10 for a bit tighter or more agro in position.

Deeper stacks on the lower tables, yeah I have noticed that. Your edge should be all the much more, as these (theoretically, at least) are worse players, AND you are playing very deep (# of bbs). As far as BR, it prob. doesn't matter that much, since you have the same number of buyins at both levels.

I'd play the $10 tables with that much of a bank roll, for sure.

I've read about this brm here and other places. I must not be a good enough player to play those tables. I've been up on absolute more then once and am now with freeroll winnings playing sitngos, but when I go to one of those tables I always donk off my money playing tight as heck and almost always getting busted anyways, those tables might as well be freerolls. Same type of play. Am I wrong in thinking this?

I've got about $180 on bodog, I can lose a buy in at 10max and not even notice, but I couldn't play lower if I wanted to since that's the lowest they've got.

Jeez, I've been playing the micros keeping in line with me sticking to proper BRM. Now I thought I was an ok player before:cool: , but it's like I'm a great white swimming in a pool of guppies.:D My bankroll started with $75 there last night and it's over $125 to night.

I'm gonna see how far I can take this.
