How do most of you handle the BR question about split br's?

BR x spread over 3 sites. In game choice should I make decisions based on total br, or bankroll at each particular site?

I'm in the US, so that may be part of my concern. Temper that by the fact that no game I've found has so intimidated me as to think I am really out of my league. Nevertheless, it still wants proper management, and gets proper management, but this area is a bit gray, and I need some fresh input.

I have money on 6 sites and I treat each bankroll separately, not total BR. So on sites where I have a larger BR i play higher limits, and beginner sites (like carbon where I just deposited $20), I am playing low limits. That is how I am handling mine at the moment.

Bankroll management is a way of keeping you from losing all the money you are willing to put towards a poker in a certain period. If you are not willing to make a redeposit at a certain site, then you should follow the regular bankroll rules with whatever finds you deposit to that site.

If you're willing to move funds around, then it doesn't matter unless it will effect your play.

That is, if you get low on one site due a cooler and you start playing worse poker (maybe tightening up too much) simply because you fear losing your last few buy-ins, that's bad.

But if you're capable of playing your best game, and shifting winnings from other sites to the site you were unlucky on (or completely abandoning that site) then it's not so bad.

But look... it all comes down to it being your money. Do what you want with it. I have a friend (he moved away recently) who was a consistent loser online, yet he kept sinking hundreds of dollars into it because he had a good time. People pay to play golf, he paid to play poker. The enjoyment he got out of playing was worth the money.

So do what you want. But if you want to avoid going broke (without redepositing) on a particular site, make sure you have the proper bankroll for your level of poker deposited on that particular site.

I play with my total bankroll. That said, I'm trying to make sure I have enough money on any given site that I'm playing to handle the regular daily swings.

It may be easier for those that can still use neteller 'cause they can move their money around easier.

I tend to play relative to the entire bankroll, but because it's not easy to move funds that's not always so.

I treat them as seperate, just because I don't have all that much in either fulltilt or pokerstars. Like the others talked about ease of transfer, I would probably treat them as a total if I could easily transfer funds between sites.
