Hey guys I was wondering what your theory on bluffing a calling stations or just never try to do it. For example this happened to me last night while playing a cash game. Im on the button with ak and loose aggressive player but i have a pretty good read on him and i know he had either aq or aj in this situation. So the flop hits 578 two clubs so he c-bets and i called planning on making a move later. Turn hits 10 non club he bets again and i put in a decent raise and he calls(this player is known often to call down with ace high) and river hits j of clubs. So flush gets there and four card straight so he checks and i go all for a decent amount and he snap calls and shows aj. Is there anyway different to play against these players or just never bluff against them.

Right. Don't assume that they are even thinking about the game. Most of the time their thought process is something like "I think/don't think they have 'it.'" without knowing what "it" is. Against these players just get value out of your good hands and let the others go. IMO

calling stations call too much,
so value bet thinner, slowplay less, play your draws passively, and size your bets bigger, and remove your air range

I would say never bluff calling stations. Never. Don't try to bluff bad players in general.

Just my $0.02
Take it or leave it.

Why would you? You've recognized that a player is considerably more likely than average to call, so why suddenly assume he's going to fold?

Well and succinctly put.

Dude is a lagy station and you have his range down to 2 hands.

Interesting.....

I dont like putting any more money in after he leads turn really unless its a defensive bet and something hit that changed board.
