After looking at sites offering advice on how to improve your game & how to bet on certain hands pre-flop there is something I don't understand. Say you are dealt pocket queens you are told you should raise or call one small raise. Since the standard raise is 3/4 the BB what is considered a small raise in this situation?

I don't think you should only call a raise with QQ.

Nor do I - but to answer the question, "small raise" and "standard raise" are probably interchangeable in this situation.

You need to take certain factors into consideration. Mainly stakes sizes and the kind of players you are facing. I would post a hand history if you need an opinion about something.
