I used CheckYourBets.com (like AG suggested) while I was playing 2$ NL & 10$ NL. I still use it to track my stud results.

I wish I knew of the program that keeps player notes.. I re-format hard
drive and lost most of my tips of the players.. like bluffers, strong players, etc.
One I could back up with a cd and never lose the info.

Okay, I've never used tracking software either, but is there some good software for sale out there? What would you say is the biggest advantage of employing such software? Is it changing the way you play?

I started using poker tracker 3 and have been pretty happy with it. Its a good way for me to review my play and see where i'm making mistakes. I think it costs about a hundred bucks retail...if your creative...there are other ways to get it. Its a really detailed program..if you have ever used SPSS in university you should be able to master it easily. I found it simply amazing to look at my win/loss rates with hands like AK suited versus offsuit...it was really a shocking difference. I'd recommend the program to anyone who was serious about improving their gameplay.

I personally use poker tracker. I've only used it for a few months now but I have to say that I am indeed impressed with it. The HUD (heads up display) is so useful and effective.
