Hey
Everyone have seen stat threads, where ppl ask how their stats look. VPIP PFR cap too big, 3bet too low, fold to 3bet too high and so on.
I would like to know a range where these stats should be. Mostly uNL, NL2-NL10, FR or 6max. And mostly against unknowns, playing in micros you dont really have sample for most ppl to exploit their too wide/narrow openings on exact position
3bet pf
fold to 3bet pf
4bet pf
steal attempt
fold to steal
cbet flop, turn and river.

I hate to say it, but "throw it at the wall and see what sticks" is sometimes the best you can do against unknowns. Far better to watch and learn; do they always fold/flat to a 3 bet? Are others stealing and getting away with it? What do others think of your play? Do they limp/fold a lot? Have they check-raised anyone? Will they flat every C bet flop only to fold to any turn bet? Or will they go to the river before folding, or call down with bottom/middle pair - and was it on an obviously dangerous board? One pair? Two? Do they call small bets but fold to bigger ones? Do they donk bet? Are they TAG/LAG/Maniac/Solid?

There really is no magic or steadfast strategy for unknowns. Take notes and learn. Watch out for them changing gears as well.

I didnt mean total unknowns, unknown is so relative. 100 hand sample shows if villain is nit tag lag fish.
You can assume 18/15 with 100 hand sample is a tag, he isnt unknown on there but with "67% fold to 3bet pf (2/3)" is kinda unknown. Same with stealing, when he has attempt to steal 60% (3/5). These samples are not very reliable yet, ofc when he gets to showdown with J6s you can assume he steals wide.
And i would like to know what % these stats should be, not a gameplay against unknowns.

Dont play your game based on putting your stats in a certain range. Pay attention and make notes, and actually think about each hand in turn.

You cant have reads on a villain in every hand, you have to have some kind of in a vacuum play. Thats why im here.

Ditto. "Each hand" should be played based on the different variables relevant to that specific hand.

Read some good poker books (no need to purchase any - most are available at library) OR just 'googled' and read it on-line for free as well.

Good luck as well.
