I'm planning to build a bankroll from $0. The lowest cash games I can enter (once I have some cash) is the 0.02/0.05. Anyone has suggestion as far as how to beat these games? I tried playing tight aggressive preflop, but it seems often, I get outdrawn by some wacky preflop cards, since there are lots of very loose players. Do you do a lot of preflop limps? Does anyone have a strategy that seems to yield results in the long term?

Play Very tight/aggressive style, only play premium hands (look on the internet or Cardschat for hand chart of the types of hands u want to muck or play). Also I almost never limp, and only limp in late position with a low pocket pair or suited connectors and good pot odds i.e. people in Eearly position have already limped in. The main line that I take is if someone is Loose e.g. 30Vpip+ then I will want to 3 bet all of my starting hands when I am In position against me and get money in the pot when I am ahead, If I miss the flop and it's reasonable to dry then I cbet, however NEVER EVER bluff more than one street at these stakes unless you can get a regular off of his hand as bluffing at these stakes is not profitable.

Well there is no need to be that tight at all. Open up in position to the extent where you are opening between 30-50% of hands on the button.

Imo If he is starting out this isn't a good idea, he is going to be playing Hands like K/10o which have big reverse implied odds if he hits TP as he could well be outkicked and won't be able to get away from it. So I do still think that 30-50% is too wide on the button and the minimum hands he should be opening on the button are all pocket pairs(set mining) and K/Jo+, J/Qs+.

If hes not opening K10 from the button then there'll be some serious leaks. You suggest TAG but your hand ranges are far closer to a nit. It may be marginally profitable at 5NL because of the fish but winrates will be low and wont go well towards moving up the stakes.

Yeah I don't think it is necessary to be extremely tight, as most of the players you will face will be playing their own cards and giving little thought to yours. If you are taking time to think out what they might have in the hand based on their actions, then you are likely already a better player then them and will beat it in the long run.

Play in as few raised pots OOP as possible.

Honestly, by reading the posts on here im constantly amazed by how badly people need to play hand X Y or Z bc its ahead of so and so's range...even though they dont have position....not realizing the hand values might not even be as important as relative position...

The good old ABC strategy should be good enough to beat 5NL or 10NL with a slightly more aggression on CO and BTN and a little knowledge of 3betting from BTN, SB and BB. as well as reacting to 3bets.
