My question is: Did the BB have the odds to call for the sake of protection with ATC?

Maybe he thought it was sign that he had 2700 stack with 27 in his hand?

I've seen this sort of play before. He could be protecting his blind or he knows he has a bad hand but if he wins with it, it'll be good for laughs or putting players on tilt. He has a big enough stack to where can call and then fold if he misses, but if he hits it very strong you can potentially double up and his hand is well disguised. He being OOP and donk-betting into you works very well in his favor if you are holding an over pair to the baord. He's probably putting you and the caller before him on mid to big hands that might pay him off if he hits it big. The flop did just that and there is no way you're laying down your kings...so the 'call with a bad hand-get lucky-double up from big stack' plan worked for him until the turn. I'd do something similar with hands like 67s or 57s if I have a big enough stack.

Of course, he could just be an idiot and Im giving him too much credit.

Did the BB have the odds to call

In my opinion, no. I'm glad you caught another K on the turn. I like your comment to him... it does serve him right! :)

I want to play against these morons

Who the hell stays in w/ 7-2? My friends have all shared stories about how their 8-2 beat someone holding 7-2. But it never happens to me. I'm glad you won. I had something similar happen to me where my KK saw a 7-7-K flop. I went all in feeling pretty good about my boat and the guy turned over 7-7. Oh that he could have gone all in with 7-2......

Good luck to you:)
