i always like to have a deep bankroll for the stakes or tourney i am playing!
if i have eg 42000 bankroll can i play 2/4 and multitable around with 4 tables?
in that way i will only have 25 buy ins if i play 4 tables at once which i am used to?

On what platform do you play? If you do it in Pokerstars it is not necessary to play in 2 to 4 tables by the option of "zoom" It is advisable to play with 10% of your bankroll.

Интересно, что здесь есть игроки, которые собрали хороший банкролл без денег, только из билетов из покерной школы или фрироллов?:p

yes it is always advisable not to bet above his means to play his A game.je do not like playing too many tables at once but I guess when you have the means it is more profitable.

Never go into a cash game, where the buy-in greater than 10% of my bankroll

I agree. 5% is my normal. That’s of course if I’m not tilted out of my mind from online software who knows what.

Ya like others have stated I think the key is to keep it under 10% at risk at any one time. And obviously adjust accordingly. I have always found the 10% and 1% rules for cash and mtts to be solid

I think putting 10% of your BR on the line at one table is very aggressive. I think a more appropriate number would be between 2-5% with probably settling somewhere under 4%. Lots can happen and people underestimate how bad downswings can be and how long they can last. 10 buy ins can be wiped out pretty quickly if a few flips and some suckouts hit you all at once.

still learning

I try to exercise bankroll management but its difficult when you don't make a lot of money and don't get enough saved up to play the stakes I would like to. so at the moment micro stakes only

200-500 buy-ins for cash works fine.

Bankroll Management

To be a successful poker player bankroll management is key to opening the door to be a winning player.

In order to be successful you need to play with your bankroll accordingly.
Without it is critical to your survival as a player.

Never play or sit down at a cash table with more than 10 percent of your bankroll.
Also one important note is to not play with your bankroll when on tilt.

Hope this helps the beginners out there.

I heard to stick with 2%, is that too conservative?
