Hi - have looked all round for bankroll guidelines for 6 max cash but have found tons of different opinions. I know it will be different for different people, but can I ask what some of you guys use?

Reason I ask is that I am making the transition from MTTs to cash and already have quite a decent roll. Have started at NL25 and just want to plan some targets.
Thanks.

The minimum recommended is usually 20 buy ins, $500 for 25nl. Many players here prefer 50 bi's, but many of those guys are playing higher than 25nl, where edges are slimmer. Pro recommendations are 100 bi's.

I myself play at 25NL, if you are a decent player then 20-25 BI is a reasonable bankroll, that's what I've started with and it's just fine.

Many thanks, so without wishing to get ahead of myself:
assuming I am a winning player, 50 buy ins is plenty for NL100 and above?

Being a bankroll nit is a really, really good idea.

Like every thing else in poker it depends.
In general u will see 20bi recamented but that imo is the bare minium since any one that plays any kind of volume will experience several 10bi+ swings and bigger.

Obvs. the lower the stakes your possible edge will be greater and there for you can have a lower bi rule.
But if dropping a few bi bothers you or your winrate isnt that great or dropping down in stakes has a seriouse impact on your game I would say somewhere around 50bi is a nice number.
I personaly use 40bi min.

So yeah its just a matter of you personaly balancing your comfort zone/risk aversion and winrate to find the perfect guidlines for your self.

20 buy-ins is not sufficient for cash games.
50 buy-ins should be a minimum.
variance can crush your bankroll if you dont properly manage it.
