I went on a streak of horrible luck last night and plowed through my bankroll at one site, then lost a bunch on another. I flopped a full house and got beat by a better full house with runner runner last night, got a flopped nut straight beaten by runner runner 10s for quads, etc... I have no more cash at my favorite poker site and was doing very well before last night. Whats the best thing I should do in this situation? Is it worth depositing more funds into my account or should I move on?

I know for a fact that my poker hasn't changed, it's just unfortunate draw outs and fish feeding...

I would take a short break for now. Try to clear your mind and then play again refreshed. Things will get better.

I have to agree with T1 on this one. A nice break of a few days or even a week or so does wonders on your game and outlook for your BR. Good Luck.

Yeah I lost a little bit tonight playing low-limits. Nothing major (only about $12) but frustrating just the same as I wasn't able to hit any of my big cards and it seemed when I folded useless hands, thats what fell on the board. Example: Had AQ suited and offsuit a couple of times each and couldn't do anything with either of them. In fact, played them to the turn and folded because the board was piled with 8,9,4 etc. Players that were winning the hands seemed to be playing middle connectors..

I had a rough time today as well, AA vs 77 all in preflop, destacked. AA vs KK all in preflop, destacked. Both times they hit trips grr. Then I lost 3/4 my stack when I had pocket 9's and the board had nothing higher than an 8, and no flush or straight possible. Villian had pocket Jacks. Well within my BR, I just hate going in the wrong direction.

Take a break, come back at it without the memories of the beatings being so fresh.

Also, maybe it would be a good idea to adopt a bankroll strategy. The upswings are a lot smaller, but so are the downswings.

when this happens to me I take a week off. That is enough time to clear your head. We all go through it.

How much of your overall bankroll did you lose? If losing a couple of buyins is enough to get you asking whether you should deposit again, that might indicate you're playing above your bankroll.

I agree with Arjonius. If you lost your whole bankroll in a couple of sessions last night then you are really playing above your BR.

Well I was up 10 times my initial bankroll and cashed out about 5 times so it's not that big a problem. I decided to move on to another good site with a quality bonus and my luck has since changed :) . Thanks for the concern guys! See you at the tables
