on a 9 handed NLHE table I got dealt pocket KK's in MP. I raised 4xBB. CO and Button call, the rest are all folded. Flop 2d,8d,Qh. I raise 3/4th of pot. CO and Button Call. Turn card 3d. Out of position here I pushed with my remaining stack of 20BB's. Both CO and Button call. River Card As. CO shows AQ for two pair, Button shows 10d-7d for flush. Do I give somebody a flush with when that third diamond hits? I bet there so as not to give anyone a one card flush. I was going to lose with the KK's to the CO anyhow since he had top pair top kicker and he hit his ace on the river but I'd like to know a better way to play this hand.

Meh. It happens. Not much to say here although bet sizing could probably be tweaked somewhat. B&M game, yes? Any particular reason you were sitting on ~34 blinds? Any limpers in the pot in front of you? What were most players at the table typically opening for? How many players were typically seeing a flop? Did you hold the Kd? A larger preflop raise could set up a flop shove assuming 2 or more callers so that you wouldn't need two streets post to get your short stack in the middle, but I mean it all depends. If you're looking for viable ways to avoid losing this hand, you're not going to find any.

I don't think its very badly played, because you can't do much with a short stack if you want to play some poker then buy in deeper or refill your stack to 100bb.
