Here is the theoretical situation:
Several limpers in front of you and you have Ax suited in late position - cash game 100bb deep. Do you limp in with them and snipe for the flush?
Normally I dump hands like this, so I am wondering if I am missing out on profit. It seems to me a better way to play this is to raise the dead money in the pot and play from there. By limping in and going for the flush you are just left with to many bad decisions you have to make. Even if you are on the draw with the ace over the board it still seems like you are in a bad spot if someone makes a 3/4 pot sized bet. If an ace hits the board and someone bets you have to assume your ace is no good most of the time.
So in the long run I have to assume that playing this hand by limping in with the others in not profitable, but I wanted other peoples opinions. I left the situation a little ambiguos, but as we all know, circumstances dictate what is a correct decision in poker. Thought?
