Hi - Saw your other thread about struggling with micros. I'm a newbie too so didn't reply to that thread as you were asking for help from experienced players only but hope some of the things I've learned can help.
1. Table selection - are you choosing the right tables? Tables should not be too full of regs and have at least one - preferably more - fish. One of the things that marks a potential fish is having no auto-rebuy...
2. Don't call out just out of curiousity or for information. This was a mistake I was making a lot earlier on. If a player at the micros - especially a passive one - shows any kind of resistance and raises the turn or river then you're probably beat and should fold. Even if they just call you down and you can see that there is a possibility that they hold a hand that beats you then prob best to check the river and fold to a bet. Of course if it's some crazy aggro fish then it's different.
3. If you're feeling like getting revenge on a fish who sucked out on you or making dubious plays "I've had so many beats that I'm due a win" then it's time to quit and take a break. Tilt shows itself in many ways and can only make a losing session much worse.
4. As you have a tracker, make sure to revise your hands after a session and look at biggest losing hands / winning hands to see where you made mistakes or could have got more value. Check your stats PFR/VPIP etc and make sure these are within the range of winning players.
5. Post troublesome hands to the HA thread to get insight from experienced players on how you played a hand (always remove the results though for unbiased replies).
6. Read books, watch videos, read the forums - rinse and repeat.
Hope this helps.
