You always want a full stack at a cash table. Bigger pots to win. Higher winrate. Auto rebuy just gives you one less thing to have to pay attention to, especially when multitabling.

Move down to a lower stake or take a break. You should be playing at your full potential any time you sit down. Don't bring your "bad day" to a new table.

it all depends on your strategy at the table, and on your expectations. if you think you are better than the opposition, you want to have more money at the table because that means in your big hands you can win more. it also gives you more leverage when/if you want to bluff (there really are only two reasons to play your cards - either to bluff or to get value). auto rebuy only saves you from needing to click on each table a few times in each orbit...

if you are severely outclassed on the other hand, you may prefer playing shorter, because a shorter stack negates the skill advantage of the other players. then again, why would you be playing in that game, especially online?

Hi - Saw your other thread about struggling with micros. I'm a newbie too so didn't reply to that thread as you were asking for help from experienced players only but hope some of the things I've learned can help.

1. Table selection - are you choosing the right tables? Tables should not be too full of regs and have at least one - preferably more - fish. One of the things that marks a potential fish is having no auto-rebuy...

2. Don't call out just out of curiousity or for information. This was a mistake I was making a lot earlier on. If a player at the micros - especially a passive one - shows any kind of resistance and raises the turn or river then you're probably beat and should fold. Even if they just call you down and you can see that there is a possibility that they hold a hand that beats you then prob best to check the river and fold to a bet. Of course if it's some crazy aggro fish then it's different.

3. If you're feeling like getting revenge on a fish who sucked out on you or making dubious plays "I've had so many beats that I'm due a win" then it's time to quit and take a break. Tilt shows itself in many ways and can only make a losing session much worse.

4. As you have a tracker, make sure to revise your hands after a session and look at biggest losing hands / winning hands to see where you made mistakes or could have got more value. Check your stats PFR/VPIP etc and make sure these are within the range of winning players.

5. Post troublesome hands to the HA thread to get insight from experienced players on how you played a hand (always remove the results though for unbiased replies).

6. Read books, watch videos, read the forums - rinse and repeat.

Hope this helps. :)

hey yah i know where your coming from with table selection. ive recently like to open up a few and se whats going on on the tables b4 i jump into a game and see what i am up against. i try to find tables with players that have a high VPIP% is there any other stats i should try to have a look at to make this decission??? Also i am gonna try out the auto rebuy option and see how that works out for me.

hey Thanks for taking an interest. ive done everything u have mentioned and am redoing them daily but the 1 thing i havent is post HHs. i just dont know what i should post or how to start a convo on certain hands. or even which hands to post. ive tried reading others and seeing what advice they have been givin but i am for some reason finding this alot harder to understand then ne other part of the game. there are so many options to have to be taken into consideration on each and every hand which can be the cause of great winning streaks or Bad beat after bad beat. i still need alot of assistance in this area as its a very uncharted area for me. so basically # 4 and 5 i am really thriving for some assistance which i would hope could fix some leaks in my game. but just dont even know where to begin because of howmany hands that can be played in such a short period ata time, i play around 600H an hr, not much to some players but thats a hell of alot for me atm. i will continue to add tables as i progress but either am gonna need a new monitor for more room or learn how to play with the tables collapsed. So ill wish you luck and i guess keep at it cus it sounds like your on the right track, evn a lil more advanced then me. Thx for the advice. Takecare

Maybe you're playing too many tables?? Could try reducing the number and thinking more about the hands you are in.

+1

Nice Honey :) You should save that cause it could be a good help for anyone new really. Just to add to your first point; easiest way to find the fishes, apart from staring at the table for 10 mins, would be the "Avg Pot". Higher avg = more fish.

Good way to busto real quick. Pros will tell you auto top up for their advantage. If you got to rebuy it means you are losing. So save some money and sit it out. If they are telling you to auto rebuy it is them saying I want you to fill up my bankroll.

Ignore this! 100% untrue watch any training video or any session of any GOOD player and youll see them top up anytime they drop below a full buy in

k so the reason for this is so when i do have the opportunity to get max value and a bigger pot, ill be left with a nice big stack or doubled up.

Or if you go broke. You have the opportunity to rebuy and then cool off when the blinds come back around to you. Just common knowledge.

See my point. That is not using proper bankroll management. So let these guys play with their auto rebuy and lose more money when they are running bad. Personally If I want to rebuy I will just rebuy. And I have to wait till the blind come back around to me giving me time to steam and calm down. You can rebuy just as easy with out having to use the rebuy feature. But what do I know I haven't been broke yet. And I have been playing for 21 years. So who knows maybe I am wrong.

You say you can rebuy just as easy without having to use the rebuy feature but that's not really the case when you're multitabling. Why have one extra thing bugging you when the software will do it for you?
