Ok I've asked about going up to 25NL and I've decided to stay at 10NL, and I also said I was opening up my range where I'm at. Can I get some opinions on what types of hands I can play and from what position. I ask this because I would like to open up just a little more. I also said that I really play aggresive post-flop. What types of hands are good for pre-flop. I try some now and then but I'm mostly working position. Well that's enough.

Guess I should add this. I lost last night and today. One day to the next you never know how cards are going to run. So took a small lose and just hang it up for today.

I usually start off tight and then open up my range once I know the table is folding way too many hands. If I have aggro monkeys on my right I definitely want to be playing tighter.

Sil3ntness basically said it in a nutshell as far as aggression goes, but to answer your question in more depth I would start balancing your ranges a little against the regs. You should try shifting some of your late position hands into your middle range and start 3 betting competent players more with your middle range they will let you know by 4 betting you light or shoving if you are behind, but don't overuse this tactic because they will start flat calling you light and this could result in a lot of variance and also make sure if you decide to get savvy you are doing it in late position you are trying to take pots down that are built pre and post not build them yourself unless you have a premium hand. By merging your range like this your more aptly to be payed off with your made hands, people will grow tired of your shenanigans and play into your top range giving you more action.

I seriously think you don't really need range balancing, merging your range, and etc. for 10 NL at least on Carbon's site. Carbon's 10 NL is pretty friggin terrible. It's the lowest level of cash games on their site now (They got rid of 4 NL). Occasionally you'll get regs from higher stakes coming down to 10 NL to "warm up" and they will try and level you, but for the most part it's terri-bad.

There is still a lot of limping preflop as if it was a live $1/2 cash game. Usually when someone is raising postflop it's the nuts (2pr or better) . I played a little bit of 10NL today and someone overlimped KK UTG+1. Post flop the guy with KK min raised KK for 2 BBs in a 4-5 way pot *facepalm*... everyone called behind. Then he checked the turn and river in position and won a small pot. WTF!? Both the turn and river was DRY!

I dunno if the guy was a ultra nit or what, but the play at Carbon's 10 NL is super fishy. If you start facing people that are constantly 3 betting you on your left or floating you every single hand... just leave the table and find another one. There are plenty of "juicy" 10 NL tables on Carbon.

Most of them open for 3BB at this level. If you bet 4BB as a minimum bet you might see a lot more folding and a lot of small pots. If you get 3 bet at this level you are usually cooked because I don't see a lot of 3 betting at this level.

Thanks for the replies and advice. There is something I've started doing that I would hardly never do a year ago, and that's betting my good hands pre-flop, and I see a lot of folding because of that. I'm also doing some reraising with those hands, which gets those limping players out. My point is that I have learned a lot here, and I use it, and I win more pots. Limping with a good hand is out of the question anymore for me. One bad thing about that though, is the fact that players at FF know me and they know how I play good hands, but I do change up sometimes.
