AQoff on board A T 7 9 x Rainbow NLHoldem
I played the following hand today and lost a big pot: Its 2/5 dollars NL Holdem
Im 2 off the button, everyone folds to me, I see:
And I bet 15. The button raises to 45 and I call. It's heads up now,
A T 7 rainbow;
I check, the button bets 60, I call,
I check, the guy bets 100, I go allin for a total of 300, he calls
he shows AK off, rivers a 5 and he wins the pot
Did I play it right? My read was as follows. Him raising me preflop meant either
he thought I was trying to take the pot and he raises me with nothing great, or
he has a decent hand... So it could of been both for me...
On the flop It could have been a continuation bet, and I do have top pair...
If he has a good hand he could have AK or AQ true.... maybe AJ?? well
now thinking about it I don't expect someone to raise a bet preflop like that with
AJ... he dude was a fair player at the table... so if he had a premium he could be
beating me... if he doesnt have a premium, he could have A 2, A anything
or maybe something like T J... There I would be winning. I just called
On the turn, comes a 9, and I check wanting to see if he continues his bets, and
he does. I then thought what if he has a draw now... I could go allin, and It would
force him to pay if he has a draw, and maybe if he is beating me make him fold sometimes.... That was how I played it and I might change somethings. What do you guys think?
