It's $1/$2/$3 game in M8trix, full of loose passive fishes(calling stations who tend to overvalue their draw or top/mid pair with small kicker). But I had 3 coolers there, back home with -400

So I had 99, raise to $15, villain called. flop comes A97. Flop goes check, check; Turn villain bets $25, I flat call to let him bluff on the river; (I put him on top pair or some weird draw etc); River villain $50, I re-raise $100. He called and showed his pocket aces.

I had JJ, raise to $12, villain 3bet $36 , I called. flop comes 79T rainbow, perfect board for me, I bet 25, villain called; turn comes a queen, I check, he checks back; river is an A, I bet 50, he called. He showed his ATo, 2 pair.

Last hand: limped to my BB, I have K8o, I checked. Flop comes 88T rainbow, villain bets 25 I did some hollywood, struggling called to let him bluff on the turn. Turn comes 7, he bets 50, I want to extract max value so i dont want him to fold, so I re-raised to 100. He called and has $70 left. (This time I don't think he has a 10 since only hand he's winning is my bluff, and if i'm bluffing why not shove me. ) River comes a 10. He checked, I shove him, he called and showed his 10. So he got a higher full house.

Any inputs?

First hand, just bet the flop to get value from Ax hands. They are very likely to be out there and they won't fold. You're going to go broke here unless super deep and you have a strong read on the player.

Second hand, I don't agree that this is a good flop for you after you were 3-bet OOP unless you already knew he was 3-betting very wide. Games with loose-passive players garner a lot of respect for their 3-bet from me. Fortunately, the villain in this hand is weak and didn't charge you more.

Third hand, meh. Why such a big bet on the flop? How many players saw this flop? If it's more than 5+, I just raise or lead out here and get value from worse 8x hands. You didn't want him to fold the turn, he didn't. But, you probably should have just raised more here. He is almost always pot-committed. Not sure what you expect to call you when you shove on the end.

I don't think any of these hands were played all that well. You're playing very passive poker.

First hand it was a cooler in my opinion, nothing you can do about it.

Second hand is very dangerous flop after a 3bet, though spot here, not sure how I would play that after the Q and A hits the board.

Thanks.

2) hand, i think the player is passive postflop, but tend to overvalue his starting hand. And it indeed turned out that A10o in his range. I'm not sure of whether im ahead on the flop, but I'm more afraid of seeing a overcard on the turn. I want to gain information, and also i have some equity from him not hitting anything.

3) it's the opponent betting pot size, and im in position.yeah maybe i should get more value on the turn, but im concerned about the risk of him folding a weird middle pair or two pair sth. but probably the best way is still to 3x there.

2) after you Bet flop, Bet turn. Generally, bet it like you have it until they tell you otherwise. If/when you get raised, I can easily drop JJ after a preflop 3-bet.

These aren't even horrible suckouts. You just have to accept that these things will happen. They will happen more often when you play passively, but they will happen no matter what at these stakes.

3) I know it was the opponent betting. So, if that was pot size, like 8 people saw the flop. Just raise this bet. On the turn, as played, you should stick it in. It isn't even a pot sized raise to shove here. If you insist on trying to keep players in to the river, don't get upset about getting rivered.

Hand 99

Your preflop raise was far too big and you got what you deserved as you were then too trapped to pull out later.

If you'd raised only to $6, he would likely reraise you telling you he had an extremely strong hand. When the A97 shows I understand you thinking you are the dominant hand, I'd call too. At the river you CALL (also you are not telling me what the suits were to analyze flush rish or straight risk). You also knew he was very confident from the flop, raising to $100 in this situation was foolish UNLESS he'd been particularly aggro with semi strong hands from what you'd seen, then sure you can justify it but from how he played it, calling the 15 not reraising etc, he was a very good players which you would have spotted from analysing his range and what he raises with beforehand.

Summary:
The $15 dollar was far too big for what you had and would severely ward off anyone from that flop who didn't have at least 2pair.
The flop play, I would fall for too (and I'm very good at cash games), the checking on the turn is absolutely correct to do no matter what showed up with how much was in the pot relative to the $3 min bet. Not calling the river was your final mistake, never raise there unless he's been loose consistently.

Hand JJ

I'd bet only to $9 if $3 is the BB. Why? Just a habit, never bet beyond 3x preflop, it helps you to be unreadable in terms of the severity of hand strength but does the job in scaring off weird draw hands.

Him raising to £36... Fold immediately. Why? I'd put him on AK/AQ or higher pocket pair than you, if Jack doesn't show on the flop and any card higher than it shows, you will be in a very awkward scenario where you aren't able to know who has the real upper hand.

You need to learn to respect even the dumbest fish reraising into you, especially if you've been tight in general. The AMOUNT is the main reason you fold though, not the fact they reraised alone.

Hand K8o
Perfect play until the turn. Assume he has straight at that point also, while very unlikely, remember to fear 8A, 87, 810.

To me, I'd read that as as a 7 8 9 10 J cooler. He doesn't have 10 full of 8s as no preflop raise if I read what you said correctly.

Only engage in huge situations where you are having many ways to defeat the enemy regardless of what they are trying to draw. This tightness takes a while to get used to but you will understand why I do it if you stick to it. Assume he has 7 8 9 10 J with that huge of a bet always.

Clarification: He is an idiot, he played it totally wrong. I'd still fold the turn.

You have to admit that number one was a brutal suckout.

Nowhere in the 99 and JJ hand was loose passivity displayed by any player.

K8 guy was trying to be TAG but didn't have a clue. He appears LPA on the turn but I guarantee you he thinks he was being TAG throughout.
