I'm looking for anyone who plays Stud 8 or Better, Stud Hi, or Razz. Essentially I'm offering free coaching, although I wouldn't mind someone to review a Razz session of mine.

I'll probably review your hands in video format, and I can keep it private if you like, or post it here on this site.

The point is I just wanna get in contact with more Stud/HORSE players on this site. There's plenty of NLHE & PLO posts, but there are other games worth playing & discussing out there ;).

Hey, id be interested in this, i have played these games a lot in horse and 8/7game and im pretty much self taught, so im able to make a small profit or breakeven in those games on 8 game, but the limit games still remains a massive weakness...

I will also throw into the mix games like 7-2 lowball and badugi or even limit holdem i feel the first two are games, most know nothing about and should be a lot of money to be won on them.

id be happy to review it for you, but i suspect that you would know more about razz than i..

Anyways, since there are threads for NL Mtt and SNG, perhaps a thread for the limit or mixed games might be appropriate

There are definitely more of us non-NLHE players out there. I might be interested later on, but I am having trouble working in the time to even play the sessions right now, much less reviewing them.

Would love to when time allows. ...

Appreciate the offer !!!

i'd be into this. i havent played these for real money yet since i was tryin to build a bankroll playin NLHE in order to play these games in the future. i would usually play the freerolls/playchip at PS, either the HORSE tourneys or the 8 game and had way more fun then playin a NL donkfest. did pretty good too even tho it was just playchips.

i was actually gonna start a thread to ask if these games are soft or tough in the low limits on PS or FT cause i think im ready to dive in. if your not into coachin someone super fresh then maybe you could point me to where would be the best place to start so i can gain some experience. have a tiny bankroll at PS and $90 at fulltilt. i see PS has .10/.20 as the lowest limits and fulltlit has .05/.10 and .10/.20 as the lowest limits.

i dont assume i would be able to help u much tho as im still pretty new at poker in general.

Any form of limit poker $1/$2 and below is stupid soft. The trick is beating the rake and the high antes that these limits usually carry with them (but its still not that hard).

I don't mind coaching super fresh players, and honestly that'd probably be the content that most people are interested in.

Play ~200-400 hands of whatever stud game you like, and PM me when you've got the hand history files ready.

ok, im gonna start with razz and if that doesnt take then im gonna try stud 8 or better. ill try full tilt cause i figure a .01 ante to pay is better at .05/.10 then PS's .01 ante at.04/.08.

just a couple razz questions to start me off.

ive got 1,2 down 3 up. i am the first to complete, call or raise. 8 people in the hand. what the best move here? narrow the field, build a pot or let everyone in cheap?

and...

say ive got 1,3 down 6 up and then hit a face cards. ive bet the 6 and then the face card. have two fishy callers showin mid cards(6-10). so now i hit a 9. slow down or keep with the aggression? or dont even bet the face card?

When you catch bad, and your opponent catches a draw to a nine or better, unless the pot is very large, you should check and fold.

With limit games, in the early parts of the hand, the bets are close to the size of the pot. However, on later streets, the bets become smaller & smaller in relation to how big the pot is.

Because of this, you want to look for reasons to fold early when you're playing limit games. You should be very nitty when the pot is small on early streets, looking for any good reason to fold. Because otherwise, you will put yourself in situations later on where the pot is pricing you into chasing with a losing hand.
