Been playing a lot of hi/lo limit games of omaha and 7 card stud. I feel that the rewards are great for the patient player in these games. I havent actually invested real cash in them yet, im doing play money, but making consistent wins. Ive not been able to do that with no limit. No limit cleans me out.
Maybe they just work better for me when it comes to cash games and thats just how it is for me as a person.

Cash games play nothing like play money games in both limit and no limit.
Maybe you should deposit a small amount of cash or win some in a freeroll and try the game of your choice that way to see which is up your alley.

I think limit holdem is good for MTTs if you are good at both limit and NL. In the beginning limit skills get you ahead and there is no risk of a really bad beat taking you out of the tournament. If you get to the final table the "limit" is so big that it plays like no limit. I have a framed picture of my limit 869 entry MTT win at PokerRoom.

I play a lot of live limit cash and personally I think its incredibly boring. No limit is almost certainly more profitable, every hand is an opportunity to play for stacks. Also the games play so much differently.

People overplay hands like AJ AT KQ KJ in limit games and float multiple streets with one pair hands.

Then they set mine but don't realize the implied odds don't exist because its LIMIT.

I think I would rather have Ah3h at a loose passive full ring limit game with a bunch of fish than aces.

I still play from time to time though, so it can be fun.

I play both - limit and no limit cash games and I think that if you are a good poker player you can make profit from both. Limit cash games are great - you always see the river card without risking much money if you have a draw and call to see how it will end :D

Love live limit. Can't loose your stack to one bad beat and good players will get paid in the long run.

I believe limit holdem is meant to be good for getting used to the more mathmatical side of poker, and i've been told before that limit is good to get used to things such as pot odds and equity. I do believe more money can be made at no limit though. You generally get better odds on the river than you should be getting, and this in turn should ensure a consistent profit if you have the right equity. ie you win the hand 50% of the time but are getting 2/1 odds. ie double what you'd be getting to break even.

I too have enjoyed limit stakes in many different poker variants. Some people feel less pressure or more in control between the two. I would think if you enjoy it more then YES continue playing. One thing I may point out that I have found in playing both over the years. "Limit poker may expose leaks you have in no-Limit and vice versa. If your trying to get a handle on both or just become a better and more rounded player then limit and pot limit both deserve special attention. TV makes better ratings so most people become part of the flock. Think of limit as a way to become the wolf. HAVE FUN PLAYING! After that, we're all just students of the game. Cheers!

because the gameplay is slow, you need good patience (which important skill). I don't like limit cash games but I can play limit Holdem MTT because the blinds are moving up to create some action/

I hate limit, because it is so slow :D But that's of course only my opinion.
