Early in a sit and go and for the life of me, still haven't figured this out. Why do people call with marginal hands UTG?

You are right. To call a raise like that with T9 is foolish. Just give up the $30 limp & move on. Maybe the $15 entry fee was peanuts to him. Then he painted himself into a corner by flopping an open-ender. Guess it was too juicy to pass up from there.

Not even a 2.5*pot bet could shift Captain Donk from his staight draw, heh.

it's one thing to limp in with it, not saying it's a good play, but i see it all the time, but calling the raise makes no sense to me. some people just feel the need to gamble.
