I'm not a fan of a stylistic approach to anything.
Focus on making good decisions.
It's a mistake to raise with a weak hand if the ONLY reason your are raising is so you can pretend you are Gus Hansen. It's also a mistake to miss out on a steal because you're too busy playing tight.
If your table thinks you're tight because you haven't been playing many hands then loosen up a little and take some shots. If you've been getting good cards and winning lots of pots w/out showdowns then people might be suspicious and more willing to look you up. So, tighten up for a little while.
It's much more profitable to be aware of how your table thinks you are playing than to be focused on trying to be a TAG or LAG.
