re: Poker & All in calls in a flush draw?
I think ya'll are missing the major ingredient here: the pot sized raiser's stack size!
I have no problem with the overcall with Q6s. Right flop, played well, it's profit and you're getting ridiculous odds to do it.
The flop is not exactly great, with the K out there you're assumed behind. But a check raise semi-bluff IS an option. I'm not mad at the move assuming you're not semi bluffing
all of your draws. The mistake is that you did it against someone who's a favorite to win and simply cannot flat you. He's not going to fold, he can't flat, and when he raises you are pot committed. If you logic that out you realize that by check raising to $39 you may as well have put in the $89 yourself. Only time I'm check-raising a short stack in this spot is with two pair or better because there's no viable bluff here.
BUT: since you did make the check-raise, and the other guy did go over the pot and you have the pot odds you should be making the call.
