I've had an arguement about how these hands are best played preflop.

a)If i'm against an unknown opponent i like to call with those preflop.Against a fish or somebody who i've been 3betting a lot,i will 3bet pre but i mostly like to call with them.I think that if i 3bet them pre ,most times worse hands will fold (AQ-AT,KQ,etc.) ,while better hands will continue(any pair Vs AK or KK,AA vs QQ).

b)There is an opposite opinion which says ,that 3 betting most of the time and only calling against people who fold 3bets is better and that you also win much money by making other fold preflop by 3betting.They ,also say that people call 3bets with any two cards ,so there is no reason to not 3bet them.

Any other opinions from 6max players?

3-Betting seems better to me almost all the time. Why let somone open 22 or JTs and have a shot to stack or out play you.

Forget about what's good with what hand as standard play. Let's look at this particular situation. Think about the psychology behind the play here.

You've been 3betting this guy a lot. This means he's properly set up. He has to take a stand sooner or later.

So, you've got him properly trained that you play aggressive with weak cards. Now you get the big one and you go light? What about all that work?

It's an ongoing game. Not a series of individual hands.

As was said in the discussion yesterday,

3b / gain aggression in the hand...villains at 10nl are going to be flatting lots of hands OOP and with AK, were dominating every other A hand.

By not 3b, your giving a random villain a continuing range of KK+, which is far far too tight imo.

I lost 3 all ins with AK,QQ yesterday in a session and that tilted me for a long time, trying to use the 2nd approach and then i found out that on 1/3 occassions i was playing against a tight player,i should have been more carefull. So,be very carefull when 3 betting then against tight players.

A "tight" player is not an unknown.

Hands do not have static values.
