Live cash game, 3/1 table, 7 people on table, I'm $550 deep, villain has me covered. Villain was loose, stack fluctuated, he called $100 a few times chasing, called river and couldn't beat 3rd pair. Very spewy, did stack off QQ pre-flop once. He was 3 betting a lot too. My image was TAG, everyone knew I didn't play junk hands.
Villain limped UTG or UTG+1, 1 or 2 other callers, I was in CO and I raised to $25, folds to villain who re-raised to $95, folds to me. Considering villain had done this many times already and considering my table image, I decided to shove for $550. My thoughts were he'll fold 9s and 10s, probably would fold JJ. QQ would call and I'm only dodging KK and AA which was fine because he was raising wide. If he had AQ or AJ he'd fold and AK he could possibly fold too. I also had seen him C-bet $120 OOP on a bad board so I didn't want to be bluffed out post flop.
Villain shook his head in disappointment, tanked but ended up calling with QQ and I didn't hit and lost $550. Now even if I won I'd still wonder what optimal play is here in that spot. Thank you.
