Now that is really hard even though you were behind on flop and turn.

He was never in front apart from pre flop ;)

OP: Obviously river never getting away, but apart from flopping the nuts I woulden't say he was lucky so to speak I think you was just unlucky being put in a spot where you little equity on on the flop with top set and then get quadded up on the river to add insult to injury.

These sort of hands just make me go "wow" I'm much much less proned to tilt when I see monster vs monster.. It would tilt me much more if his random any two cards beat my set for ecxample :p

Nh;s!

Well I would think he is quite lucky to be in a situation where he gets a RF v Quads :) I would be over the moon if it happened to me.

My brother has got 3 royal flushes in the last 2 days would you believe it. He has picked up small pots with them. Picking up an all in with a RF is tbh what every poker player dreams of.

hmmm. Didn't someone have this exact hand at the wsop one time. Ray Romano was at the table. Anyways, this hand doesn't tilt me or prevent me from tilting in the future. This title makes a promise that isn't fulfilled at all.

Funny how some people take every opportunity to look like a smart arse. Cough deuceswild cough. Never said I was infront during the hand at any point.

@ smokeme, at zoom, bottom set is almost always behind when raised all in. I constantly throw it away. poker tracker tells me 22 33 and 44 are not even worth set mining with as they are behind so often when they hit a set.

Don't think that is a good idea to be throwing away bottom set. Don't throw away ANY set at micros, or any limit for that matter.

If anything zoom has worse players and I've seen some realllllly bad calls and im talking calling of stacks with a pair on decues on a A.K flop.

But you were. You were way ahead PF. Technically, this is a BB. The guy double popped you PF with junk (but they were sooooted), and got real lucky. He would have been real lucky just to beat you with junk like that. Let alone a RF.

Am I right in thinking I have more chance to win the national lottery than for this to happen again?

Well I do agree with you in some regards, but it depends on the hand texture, how did it play out etc. If some one flats your open raise behind you and then stacks off on the flop or turn, they have a higher set most of the time, if you flat an utg or ep/mp open and hit bottom set, they have an over pair a lot more of the time. I have built up a feeling for it now days, so I can usually tell when I'm no good.

I'm with these thoughts... But then that's probably why on another thread another player stated that they don't necessarily show the final result to hands they show because it tends to bias the whole point... But then again BB normal stands for big bets right? I mean from within the forum I had to learn that bb is big blinds so I'm assuming this IS NL ?

All-in-All I think OP is stating simply "...don't feel too bad about your hand if you're thinking of tilting, check this out..." along with the irony of the player's name. I don't think they were requesting a HA.

But you were. You were way ahead PF.

2% of the money went in preflop

What do you mean? He flatted...

And JTs is hardly "junk".

Chances for that card hitting the river? 1/46 or 2% of the time. So about the same as winning ~$5 from your average $1 scratch-off.

Think you would have made a thread about the scratcher?
