Most of us know the basic, AA is the best hole cards to see, 72 offsuit is the pits. KK,QQ is a monster but be careful with KQ or a mid size pair.

You're playing a multi-tourney and lets for arguments sake put you on the button with an average stack of 25 X BB.

A player with 3 X BB goes all-in in the cut-off.

The question is this: Where in the scale of hands would you call, fold or raise?

My answer would be - Call with suited or connected cards 89 and above , Raise with any pocket pair over 8's or with AK,AQ or AJ ( To isolate you and the All-in ).Fold the Rest.

If he is all in with 3 times the big blind, and you got something even decent, I would say call. It depends on how he's been playing. If he's been going all in every hand hoping to catch and double up well then he probably doesn't have much, but if the table is full and he hasn't called in 9 hands, he probably has something nice. And small suited connectors are always good against something like AA. But if he's got such a measly amount of chips, I'm calling with pretty much anything that doesn't make me gag like 92 or 62. Ya know.

With 3 BBs left he's shoving with a humongous range of hands, meaning your range should be a little bit smaller than that big range. I'd call with any ace, any pair, and KJ or KQ.

Yeah the sky is pretty much the limit on that one.

In this situation I would play any 2 cards if I thought it would make me heads up. I guess my biggest concern would be the blinds and what I thought they were going to do.

If they are the type to protect the Blinds I might have to consider raising the bet to push them off the pot. But if I already know they don't like multi-way pots from early position I might just call. Either way I would have a hard time just folding from that vantage point and position with just about ANY 2 cards.

With only 3 BB left and in the cutoff, he probably has 'something', why else would he risk it now.
If I have a pair (big or small) or suited connectors I'm probably calling but it does depend on how he has been playing.

I too would call with any 2 suited cards, and any small pair, up to 9's.
With 10's up to A's, and any 2 face cards I would raise to isolate the 2 of us. "G"

You're getting 1.5:1 and he's shoving a wide range so I'm playing at least all pairs and broadway cards but if you just call, the BB is pretty much obligated to come along so I'd probably make a small ISO reraise
