I'm pretty new to poker and have only started playing the last few months and I've been reading a lot about different strategies and stuff, but a lot of it simply does not work at the micro stakes poker tables because people play differently than they do at the higher stake games. So what I'm asking is what are some things I should and should not do at the micro stakes tables that would be different than the higher stakes tables?
Thanks everyone

^^ That thread title didn't specify micro stakes. Hell, I didn't even bother searching for related threads before making my first one and I doubt you did either LD. Besides what is one more thread among the millions already in existence?

On to the topic at hand. First of all it seems strange that you are coming at it from this direction. Normally it goes - play micros/learn fundamentals > adapt to higher stakes, and you seem to be doing the opposite. This might prove detrimental if you feel you know how to own souls at mid stakes and that the micros require some insane strategic line of thought. Now that was slightly overblown but I needed to make a point. The fact is micros are easy. Even for me and I'm a fish who gives chips away, all you have to do is stick with the basics and maybe experiment occasionally with alternative lines and stuff like double barrelling.

Maybe if you could give us an idea of what games you are going to be playing, FR or 6-max? How much practice have you had, and do you have a general strategy outlined that we could take a look at and possibly refine. Post again letting us know where you are at and I'm sure we can make some suggestions, other than that just practice, practice and practice some more.

I use Google. "cardschat" and keywords give threads. Not really complicated.

But OK, I could have been nicer, it is not his fault I am getting killed by bad beats whole day today.

If you dislike new threads with repetitive questions that you are unwilling to answer then why post in them?

I would prefer a new thread as opposed to necro-ing a 2/3 year old thread.

Edit: No problem LD. Normally I'm being sarcastic to new guys, but I've been dishing out the bad beats all day. Unlucky man, hope your luck runs better!

I pointed him in the correct direction, didn't I? Also in that thread I made a post which explains a lot about 2nl micros how I see them.

I've been playing full ring 2/5 on Bovada and not doing very good. I'm really not to sure what my problem is so I'm going to start a new thread in the challenge part of the forum and try to play a few hundred hands each day and post some of the hands that I'm not to sure about. For some reason I didn't see that there was more than one reply on the thread when I posted yesterday, so thats what I only posted that one comment.
Thank you for you replies

Just refresh the thread if you are still in it.

BTW you will have a limit on this forum until you hit 65 posts, so don't waste them on anything except hand analysis.
