How much do you personally adjust the suggested cards within a player's range when using pokerstove?

i.e. the player is a 30/5. You open Pokerstove. Do you simply look at his calling range as pokerstoves 30% with pokerstoves 5% removed?

If you do make adjustments could you be specific in what adjustments you make for particular player types.

Depends on if he raised PF or just called. 30/5 means he puts money in (IE, calls & raises) 30% of his hands and raises 5% of his hands. But then what if he overcalls a raise? That means you can only use the 5% if he open-raises. You have to look at other stats, depending on the situation, to get what you want. "Limp/Calls" and "Calls Open" stats could help.

All of this is just imo, of course.

I think something else important is to adjust that range based on position. I mean yeah he could be 30/5, but if he's in the Button with 2 limpers you could loosen it up to maybe 35-40 imo. I could be wrong here I don't work as much with pokerstove as I should. But that seems like something I would do.

If im doing fast equity calculations i just type in 30% if he called prf and 5 if he raised.
If one the other hand im doing some detailed post play analysis i use PokerRazor cause its a million times better/easier to adjust ranges and stuff.
But yeah like MrSticker said you need to look at limp call, fold cbet, float, open limps, postional stats ect if you whant a super acuriate range.
