I have noticed that I do better with AAxx hands in PLO than AA in Holdem - Both at the $5 to $10 buy in level. It just seems like I get alot of 3 way pots, often all in by the flop where the other guys both have hands like JT98, so they are blocking each other pretty bad. As a result, my AA holds up very often. Has anyone else found this to be true?

Preflop I made pot raise ofcourse, however 1 villian made re-rase 1000chips all-in, and then (agressor FISH, I knew it) made re-raise all - in 4,5k chips...
I decided make call ! ! !
FLOP: Ad 4d Qs Turn: 6с River: Td

FISH AGRESSOR hade next poket hand (Kd Jd 2s 8c) DID U BELIEVE THAT ???
This f4cking fis hade FLUSH . . . and my flop SET did not get Full-house at all....

I have been experiencing the exact opposite over the last couple days. I've been seeing a lot of 3-bet pots with an SPR near 1 and three people on the flop. In the majority of the cases, It has been me with AAxx, another player with AAxx, and someone with a hand like you list which has about 40%-43% equity depending on suits against our hands. Heck, even random complete trash is still a money favorite against two people holding AA. It has been brutal.

OK, I have only had 44 hands of AAxx this month. But, I am down a little over 2.2 buy-ins from them. This month is showing me how "kind" Omaha can be. I am running $70 below EV (at $10PLO), over 1700 hands. Basically. 40 bb/100 below where I should be. It's only a small sample, but I've seen graphs of things like this going on for ages.

You're running good with AAxx right now. That's awesome. Just don't get too upset if/when it goes the other way and AA never seems to hold up.

Wait till you get the 50BI downswing in like 5k hands. Those are the funnest. :)

But yea, avg equity with AAxx against a random hand in PLO is like 60% v 82%(?) for holdem so its the inverse of what OP is saying which i think most people will agree with.

I tend to play it small most of the time but am not afraid to get it in on the flop against one or players. The other two cards can be a big help too of course. Anything from Broadway cards to small suited connected cards can give you other ways to win..double suited of course as well..Mix it up and see how it plays for you in different ways.

As for me, PLO is quite simple to get flush, or straight. That is why I use small rule when if flush on the board NEVER betting with straight, or if straight on the table, never betting with 2 pairs or SET ... ALWAYS smb had in this case better combination.
One more thing to say, three of a kind on the flop, (or 2 pairs) can grow in Full-House, that is why calling donkbets could to be, however, calling overbetting is worst you can imagine in this case

Yea aaxx is always sketchy in a multi way pot, I like my odds preflop 1 vs 1 holding it, but , if I don't flop fairly strong with it in a multi way pot I'm getting outta the way

I haven't found that.

AAxx in PLO will have a much smaller edge vs other hands than AA has vs other hands in Holdem.

In PLO, people really overplay AAxx

I don't get excited (in a positive way) about AAXX in PLO till I see the flop. I've found AA loses a lot more in PLO that NLHE. You tend to see many more bigger hands in PLO, which means that if your AA doesn't improve on the flop you're often behind.

I have often overplayed AAxx and often lose. AAxx to me is about the same of having AK, AQ in NLHE.

I now wont play AAxx too strong till I see what the flop brings. If I get AA23, AA34 type of hands in PLO8 or AAKKds, AAQQds type of hands PLO then I will play them like they are AA, KK, QQ.

I'll add, more often lose, then win AAxx hand, even with get three of a kind right on the river. flush or straight will be better hand to pushed or just continue play

So I expect to see more losses with the AAxx than I have had. Everything you have all said makes sense to me, and It seems odd that I would be doing so well with them. I am still doing pretty well in with it, but I am being a bit more careful about making sure I have decent cards with it before I 4 or 5 bet. Thanks all.

AAxx without suites is not a winner. Need a specific board that is dry and someone who hits a lower set on the flop to make any decent money There is too many other good drawing hands out there It’s similar to cracking AA in HE
