Full ring game, table playing pretty loose, how do you play A6 os in late position (next to button)?

I folded it and in this case one of the limpers in middle position had A9, but I'm curious to know how you all would play it.

A-6 off

You did absolutly the right thing! I will fold A-6 off EVERY time, unless I'm the BB and it's a check! Think about it---A-6 off is really a nothing hand--alls ya got goin' is an A with no real kicker--no draw--NOTHING but a wish fer 3/As flopped!:D

Folding that from the cutoff unless I'm tilted. In a situation different than you describe... short table, folded around... I might raise.

^^ why would you play this at a short table instead of a full table, either way 3 players a left to act behind. Also typically short tables have really big and small stacks making limping less likely to be possible/profitable?

I was imaging a situation where I was up against two players in the blinds playing tight. Spose I should have said this.

Still I am a doofus. any advice I give should be firmly ignored.

If you up against the two players in the blinds who are tight and it folds around to you, that is almost a license to steal. You know there is a greater chance than normal they will fold to raise, and if they don't you know you beat. I will become a brazen thief if it gets that easy....:)

it depends: you can either make a huge profit or take a huge loss if you play with that kind of position. folding gains you nothing but can also steer you away from a bad beat. i say take a risk and if you hit you stand a good chance to make a good chunk of change.
