I'm not so sure about this. AQ is a good hand, but it's not overly tough to beat it. You don't want to be in a position where you raise and then get re-raised, because you would generally need to fold to that and you wind up losing a fair amount of chips preflop. If you limp, it makes it a lot easier to get away from it and it gives you a chance to see a flop with good pot odds
without putting in very much preflop.
