Hello,
So I played quite a bit of non-cash poker over last year or so and last week I decided to go to pokerstars.
I made 18$ from my first 2$ deposit, but during the last two days I lost all of them.
Now I'm thinking about reading a book, and actually getting more into the strategy of the game rather than just knowing that getting the fifth spade on the river is 15%.
So which book should I choose? (by the way, I'm living in norway, so buying any books would cost a lot and I will probably just torrent it if possible)

Probably the most endorsed book on this forum for beginners is [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Phil-Gordons-Little-Green-Book/dp/1416903674/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372954369&sr=8-1&keywords=Phil+Gordon"]Phil Gordon's Little Green Book: Lessons and Teachings in No Limit Hold 'em[/ame]

102 out 140 Amazon reviews give it 5 stars

Dole Brunsens book is the best one out there in my opinion. It is a bit old, but the concepts in the book are priceless. Good cash game tips and references. Good explanations on how to think when your playing and what points to consider (points being what to keep a lookout for when your opponent makes certain moves). Other than that book, maybe David Sklansky's poker books, they are pritty good too.

Here are some good books for you:

"Winning Low-Limit Hold'em" - (2nd Edition) by Lee Jones
"Small Stakes Hold 'em: Winning Big with Expert Play" by David Sklansky
"No Limit Hold 'em: Theory and Practice" by David Sklansky
"How to Dominate $1 and $2 No Limit Hold 'Em" by Sam O'Connor
"Cash Games (How to Win at No-Limit Hold'em Money Games) Vol. 1" by Bill Robertie
"Harrington on Cash Games, Volume II: How to Play No-Limit Hold 'em Cash Games" by Bill Robertie

The last two books are if you want to play on cash games.
I hope that those book will help you to make big bankroll.
Good Luck

Another very good book is that by Gus Hanser: every hand revealed. I am reading it right now and I am enjoying it. Although there are a lot of ppl who commented that it lacks theory. Well everything depends on your taist. I would buy all of them and just have them around to read when your completely board. This way you'll learn poker without even trying to.

Best book for beginners is "Crusing the micros" by blackrain. But with 18 dollars i do not think you have the bankroll for anything at cash tables. Maybe you give a shot at .25 Sit and Go's witch are like small tournamets. In that case "The Little green book" will be a good start.

Not a beginner book -

"Learn poker without even trying" - says quite a bit about how seriously your recommendation should be taken.

i recommend for new players to read the poker mindset, because even if you don't have the skills you need to understand the other aspects of the game first before you can even judge how good you are etc. so many good players are unsuccessful because they have the wrong or bad mindset to begin with or they develop it later, good luck
