What if our opponent will not be able to get it all in when the board pairs? If we keep check calling he simply won't make a big enough bet since he has no idea what we have.
The nut straight hand just has to avoid a 4 to a straight board and it can still inflict big damage on the river as top set will keep betting even if the board doesn't pair.
