6max Sweat Sessions Interest Thread

Hey guys,

So a big part of my game that I am not using at all is getting other players to sweat/go over HEM replayer with me. I'm sure i'm not the only one here who doesnt do this so I thought I would gauge the interest in a 6max Sweat Sessions thread.

Basically how it would work is that every month we make a new thread and people can choose to opt in, stating their timezone and availability, we let people opt in for a little while, maybe starting the thread in the last week of the prev month? and then we pair people off according to level and timezone. People can ask to be paired with someone and if both parties agree thats also cool.

There is something like this over at 2p2 which I have always wanted to get involved with but havent b/c of the odds of being paired with a douche lol

Yeah, so hopefully people get involved with this as it is def good getting someone elses opinion on your game, maybe point out spots that arent so obv to yourself, say stealing/re-stealing/cbet/barreling opportunities. Just let us know ITT if you'd be interested so we can see how many people would contribute, I play 6max so ideally I would like to gauge 6max players interest but that is selfish so depending on FR player numbers we could merge the two and pair people accordingly.

Oh and I've played both 6-Max and FR but mostly FR recently so if possible that's were I probably most help.

I'd also pitch the idea of just recording a session via camtasia/etc. and reviewing that with a second or third person. The real-time feel for a session can be helpful in seeing how decisions were made and where improvements can be made (which is why sweats are such a good idea).

Oooh just read Lofwyr's post and had an idea. If I make a video with commentary then post the video without commentary. Everyone who wants to can then do a commentary themselves and we all post them as a series? The same video but with a few peoples opinions on the same spots.

The matter of how you get feedback would be left to the pair to decide imo, but yeah, recording a session is a good way to go for sure!

sweating a recorded 30mins -45mins of play is more benificial imo as having a debate while playing poker is just too complicated.

I play 10nl 6max as all the old cool kids do, im winning just over 2 bb 100 over 18000 hands, not a big sample but pleased with it all the same. just glad im making enough to beat the rake. Thats like 8-9bb 100 at the micros alone.

Im in England so 7-10pm GMT is best to conference etc

To get things rolling I will try to remember and record my next session. I'm only running 2-tables right now so it shouldn't be too confusing for anyone to go over. Of course, due to school schedule, my next session may not happen for a couple days

camtasia. records as many as you want, makes it any format you want, any retard can use it.
