It sounds like you have a good plan. Don't look at the comments as negative criticism, these are definitely things you can add to your game as you move up. You're probably playing extremely straightforward ABC poker atm, which is absolutely exploitable - but you're not going to be exploited at 10nl, the play is still very loose passive, and if you're MMT'ing tighter is better anyhow for the time being.
Just a couple of suggestions, feel free to ignore - when you're ready (after beating up on 10nl for a while ), take some time to 4table (better yet, 2table) for a while and specifically look at practicing positional play. Download pokerstove (free) and look at what 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, and 35% ranges look like, and experiment w increasing your opening range to 30% on the BTN, 25% in CO, etc. (I'm a 6max nit, and my ranges are wider than that - but when it's folded to you in late position in FR, you're effectively in a 6max environment, FR tight opening ranges don't have to be applied). Read up on basic stealing logic (how frequently does a steal need to work, defending against a loose BTN opener, etc.). Try and figure out what ranges your opponents are likely to be playing from CO and what ranges you should be playing back at them with when you're BTN. Ask questions as they come up.
Try these ideas out while not MMT'ing (drop back down to 5nl if you need to as well, experimenting at your normal limit isn't always the greatest idea) and see what does and doesn't work for you.
