No preference. Full ring, 6-max, short-handed: it's all good. Though I often prefer short-handed play, especially when the other players fail to adjust to the new, short handed conditions.
New conditions meaning having to play more and hands and more marginal spots.new conditions being able to play suited connectors more freely?

As a rule of thumb, the less people you have at the table, the more profitable it is to play if you have a skill edge. This is because with less people it's more frequently correct for you to play, the situations everyone gets involved in are more marginal and complex, and there are more chances for your opponents to make mistakes (and whenever Villain makes a mistake and you don't, or you make a lesser one, you profit).
Taken to its full logical extent, this of course means the most profitable format to play is heads-up cash, which is what I primarily play.
Of course if you don't have a skill edge, the less people you have around the easier it is for you to get crushed.
That's ****ing fantastic for you. Just wait for a pair 8 or higher, call shove, and punch them in the dick for being retards.Yeah I tried heads up, but the villains at the lower levels shove nearly every hand pre flop

Why not? You'll draw one every 27 hands and it crushes his range (which averages at T7o) so you'll usually collect Villain's stack for the cost for about 18bb (or 36 if you're the shortstack)That's not how you would adjust to a player shoving nearly every hand pre-flop.

Fair enough.Because you would make more money stacking off with a wider range.
This x1billion.HU HU HU HU. I used to play 6m until I was sick of waiting and waiting to give a bad beat or give a cooler to someone to win a decent pot. HU has more and bigger swings and it requires more skill but if you study hard you will have good results.
This x1billion.
Also, don't play HU with anyone better than you if you're playing to make money. I just made 2 buy-ins vs fish then dumped them into what I assumed was a lagtard but is probably a laggy reg. Oh well, at least now I know to avoid the guy in the future.
HU ftw
